Before you hit publish: Are you asking these 10 key questions about your website page?

Introduction: Beyond the Ordinary. In a world saturated with template solutions, breaking free involves more than following the herd. It’s about exploring personalized user experiences, being adaptable to new ideas, and reaping the benefits for search engine optimization (SEO).

Asking the Right Questions: Setting the Stage

Tailored User Experience:

Templates may offer a quick solution, but they often fall short of aligning with your unique goals and user needs. Standing out means crafting an experience that resonates with your specific audience and sets you apart from the crowd.

Flexibility and Innovation:

Standard templates come with limitations. By breaking away from them, you gain the flexibility to experiment with innovative design elements, stay on top of trends, and continuously improve your website.

SEO Benefits:

Search engines favor websites with unique and high-quality content. Customizing your page allows you to create original, relevant, and engaging content, positively impacting your search engine rankings.

Benefits of Asking Questions: The Strategic Dimensions

Before delving into the key questions, let’s understand the profound benefits of asking questions before creating a webpage. This approach ensures unified goals, promotes clear communication, and guides data-driven decisions for measurable success.

FIRST THINGS FIRST, okay Dafne, what are the benefits of asking questions before starting to create a webpage?

Let’s break it down into different dimensions—the dimensions I consider throughout my projects.

  • Unified Goals:
    • Ensures the team shares and understands common business objectives.
    • Promotes unity and clarity.
  • Clear Communication:
    • Encourages open communication and transparency.
    • Reduces misunderstandings within the team.
  • Data-Driven Decisions:

    • Aligns the team with measurable success.

Now, let’s get straight to the point:

10 KEY QUESTIONS FOR A STRATEGIC WEBPAGE CREATION

Purpose and Goals:

  • What’s the primary goal of this webpage?
  • How does this page align with our overall business objectives? (increase revenue, built up trust, show your products…etc.)
  • What specific actions do we want visitors to take on this page? (Contact with us, buy a product, sign up for our Newsletter, etc.)

 Monetization Strategy:

  • What is the primary monetization strategy for this webpage?  Identify how the webpage will generate revenue, whether through sales, advertising, subscriptions, or other means.
  • Are there multiple revenue streams that can be integrated?

 User Experience (UX):

  • How can we optimize the webpage for a positive user experience (UX)? Prioritize elements that enhance usability, navigation, and overall satisfaction for visitors.

Advancements in UX and Metrics: And what about the advancements in UX design and the critical role of metrics? Consider metrics such as increased sales, reduced bounce rates, enhanced upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and an improved Net Promoter Score. The following questions will help you to set up the metrics.

  • In terms of metrics, how do we currently measure the success of our website, and what areas can be improved?
  • How can we optimize the website to increase sales or conversions, and what metrics should we use to monitor these improvements?
  • Have we considered user feedback and satisfaction surveys to gather insights on the website’s usability and overall experience?
